Canonical visit to the community of Oyack (Douala, Cameroon)

The canonical visit to the community of Oyack, in the city of Douala, cannot but be wrapped in smiles. And no wonder, the visit to the primary and elementary schools makes one’s face fill with tenderness and joy at the sight of the children giving their best to welcome the Superior General.

Likewise, the responsibility of having in our hands the secondary and vocational training of young people from the neighbourhood is a privilege. Families have relied on our work for generations. The pastoral care of education is one of the missions requested of religious life by the bishops. Aware that education is a tool for human development and transformation, the congregation has been committed to it since, practically, its beginnings in this country.

M. Maria Joaquina and Br. Delia have also greatly enjoyed seeing the commitment of the educational teams who carry out this work, among whom the sisters are present.
