All Saints’ Day
Every November 1st we celebrate the feast of All Saints, accompanied by another great feast such as the Day of the Faithful Departed where in a special way we remember our loved ones who are already at the Father’s side, taking care of us.
These feasts are a universal call to live holiness, making us aware that holiness is not for a chosen few, it is a way of life for every baptised person.
Holiness can be found in simple acts: in caring for others, in the search for peace and in the struggle for truth.
Each of us is called to live in an authentic way, to seek justice, goodness and love in our daily actions, and in the words of Blessed Carlo Acutis ‘to be original’, living fully and consciously. ‘Holiness is not made up of a few heroic acts, but of much coditian love,’ Pope Francis tells us. Both feasts are a reminder that death is not an end, but an integral part of the cycle of life.
