Jubilee Year 2025

Every 25 years, the Roman Catholic Church celebrates a Jubilee Year. The theme of this Jubilee Year 2025 is Pilgrim of Hope. This year opened on 24 December with the Pope in Rome, who brought together a large number of pilgrims in the square of Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
The Jubilee Year is a precious time that reminds us that Our Lord Jesus comes to the depths of our lives to give us the gift of his mercy. It is also a time for rebuilding social justice, as the Pope invited us to do in his letter for the World Day of Peace. It’s about giving the poor hope for a better future. To live the Jubilee Year of Hope is to show that we are entering a time of conversion.
May the Holy Spirit we received on the day of our Baptism inspire us to find the courage to take up the fight and allow ourselves to be reconciled with ourselves, our brothers and sisters and our world in destruction.
