Build a fairer and healthier world
As COVID-19 has shown, some people may lead healthier lives and have better access to health services than others.
Other groups struggle to make ends meet with little daily income, have worse housing and education conditions, and fewer job opportunities. These people experience greater gender inequality and have little access to safe environments, clean water and air. Let’s not talk about food safety and health services. All this causes unnecessary suffering, preventable diseases and premature deaths. And it hurts our societies and economies.
That is why I am writing to you, dear world, because this is not only unfair: it is avoidable.
Dear world, I want you to know that I am committed to you: taking care of myself, taking care of my environment. But also demanding that leaders take the following measures:
- Work together
- Collect reliable data
- Address inequalities
- Act beyond borders
Dear world, I am with you. For the good of all.
