To all consecrated men and women:
We address you on the eve of a journey dear to all of us, because it is dedicated to our wonderful vocation which, in various ways, makes God’s love shine for man, woman and the entire universe.
Go from “I” to “we”
We cannot pronounce all their names, but on each and every one of them we ask the blessing of the Lord so that they are able to go from “I” to “us”, aware “of finding ourselves in the same boat, all fragile and disoriented, but at the same time important and necessary, all called to row together “
Rekindle the global aspiration for brotherhood
We ask you to be “the Samaritans of these days, overcoming the temptation to withdraw and cry over yourself, or to close your eyes to the pain, the suffering, the poverty of so many men and women, of so many peoples.” Let us act together, let us rekindle in all “a worldwide aspiration to brotherhood”, to dream together so that “faced with the various current ways of eliminating or ignoring others, we are able to react with a new dream of brotherhood and social friendship.”
Dream together
“Let us dream as one humanity, as walkers made of the same human flesh, as children of this same land that houses us all, each one with the richness of his and her faith or his and her convictions, each one with his and her own voice, all brothers and sisters!
