"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us." (Jn 1,14) The Word is in everything, God is in everything, Jesus is the Word.
Since I started my religious life as CMC, the phrase “being women of the Word” has an special echo in me. In the Plasencia mission, I have been able to bring this phrase to life with more intensity.
Every day a town, of the many around this city. From very early, the two sisters of the community got into the car to travel the road that took us to the villages. The simple people of the place awaited us: farmers, small ranchers, local merchants. Making Jesus and his Gospel present as it is shown in the simplicity of life has been our mission.

Rural pastoral, missionary actions.

• Visiting the sick in the villages, taking communion, accompanying the sick in their vital situation, encouraging family members and caregivers.
• The permanent formation of adults. In each town, we tried to form groups to grow in faith. In them, we not only helped to free oneself from anguish, but also to provide evangelical criteria for daily decision-making. Prayer and life was our daily routine.
• The organization and animation of the catechesis of children and young people, for the celebration of First Communion. Also for the confirmation of young people and adults.
• The celebration of the Word, on Sundays or ordinary days, in the parishes of towns where the priest could not arrive due to different circumstances.
All this, living it in permanent dialogue with the Bishop and with the priests. And noting that Jesus is the presence of God in life, and that he is found in coexistence with others. "The Word was the light that illuminates every man" (Jn 1,18)

THAT LONG AND LOVING LOOK ON THINGS

THAT LONG AND LOVING LOOK ON THINGS

"That long, loving look at things." Someone very beautifully defined contemplation that way. Contemplating is more than looking, although it begins with a glance. In order to become contemplation, the gaze has to be "long" because if not, it will transcend the flat...
