SAINT AGUSTIN OF HIPONA.
If you keep quiet, keep quiet with love; if you scream, scream with love. And if you correct, correct with love; if you forgive, forgive with love.
Saint Augustin, philosopher and theologian, was a man who insatiably searched for the truth. And, looking for it, he came across God.
An experience in which he expresses himself: “Late I loved you, beauty so old and so new. Late I loved you! You were inside me and I was outside, and outside I was looking for you. “
He is surprised by God. Let’s look at how he describes it, wondering how we describe God in our experience.
He is surprised by the place where this experience takes place. Perhaps inviting us to see where is the place where God happens in us.
It opens another level: from reason to love, to conclude that faith and reason are complementary spaces.
