ASCENSION OF THE LORD

“What are you doing looking at the sky? Go to Galilee, there you will see me ”. Looking at the sky makes us consider what we live in dialogue with the Lord. Look from God’s perspective: appeal to trust, regain hope, start over in love and commitment. It is counting the stars, remembering that God keeps promises.

And then, walking the earth, committing ourselves to building a better world. And here there is room for daily conversations, willingness to serve, shared joy, help for the other.

In the interreligious celebration in Ur (Iraq), the Pope made an appeal to the religious leaders, recalling that the departure of Abraham gave birth to numerous peoples. He invited us to never stop looking at the sky or walking on earth.
