BOGOTA, COLOMBIA

We have listened to the voice of Jesus and we have started the missionary path. Because, as Saint Nazaria Ignacia says: “we were born to evangelize.”

The community of Bogota (Colombia), for 40 years, we have gone down to the streets to find ourselves as part of the people. We share with them the experience of God and, in turn, we allow ourselves to be evangelized. In this fertile land, where God has allowed us to sow and reap, the seeds of the Kingdom bear fruit.

In various parishes of the Archdiocese of Bogotá we walked alongside archbishops, bishops, priests, religious and laity, leaving footprints of Christ in children, youth and adults.

Parish ministry in all fields has been our greatest service. In every sense of the word, we have been the right hand of priests, living in communion with them. «Father, may they all be one, as You and I are one». This is what Jesus invites us to do.

Currently in the Archdiocese we live the so-called plan E of evangelization, started with our Cardinal Ruben Salazar Gómez.

As MCI, we project ourselves from Santa Ana parish and FENI from various parishes.

It is a joy to be able to share this missionary experience, following in the footsteps of many sisters and laity, in whom we share faith in Christ with so many sisters and brothers of the Archdiocese.

We thank God, the Blessed Virgin Mary and all those who have allowed us and continue to allow us to live this path of evangelization.

Together with Mary Queen of the Apostles and Saint Nazaria we continue in this joyous service of announcing the Kingdom of God in the midst of those most in need.

Sr. Rosa Ruiz Maya MCI
