WORLD DAY CONSECRATED LIFE 2023

The last paragraphs of the document Starting from Christ vividly recalled this common experience that is, at the same time, a permanent ideal:

«A new century and a new millennium are opening up in the light of Christ. But not everyone sees this light. We have the wonderful and demanding task of being their “reflection” […]. This is a task that makes us tremble when we look at the weakness that so often renders us opaque and full of shadows. But it is a possible task if, exposed to the light of Christ, we know how to open ourselves to his grace that makes us new men” (Novo millennio ineunte, n. 54).

This is the hope proclaimed in the Church by consecrated men and women, while with their brothers and sisters, through the centuries, they go to meet the risen Christ (Starting from Christ, n. 46).
