Being women of the Word is the realization of Nazaria’s dream: “We were born to evangelize.” And today, like yesterday, our world is in need, hungry, for the Word of God.
The drama today is that they dizzily seek to satisfy their hunger by going to the wrong places. For this reason, it is urgent to revive the missionary spirit and respond to the Mission to which we were summoned: To evangelize.
“Evangelize, and if necessary also with the word” (Saint Francis). Since the Son of God became incarnate, we can only announce the Word if we incarnate it. That is our challenge: to embody the Word that we announce so that the announcement is welcomed, so that it reaches the hearts of the recipients and satisfies their hunger.
Our world is hungry for the Word of God. And it is´nt a topic. It is the experience that I live in the Bible and confirmation groups. They are summoned to listen to the Master and the groups stay and grow because, by tasting this food, they feel like inviting other people.
Little by little, the community is being created where faith, life and prayer are shared. From them, we come out strengthened to continue putting Life, with a flavor of the Gospel, wherever we move.
Each meeting has become a party, because the Word pushes our lives towards more fulfillment.
Going down to the streets of the La Mancha towns, I discovered the hunger for God of its people and the lack of people to bring them the food of the Word.
