CANONICAL VISIT TO JAEN (PERU)
The M. General, M. María Joaquina Lozano, and her adviser, Sr. Cilenia Rojas, were on a canonical visit in the community of Jaén (Peru), from July 27 to August 2.
The welcome from the community and the residence could not have been warmer. During the visit, the missionary dynamism of the sisters was confirmed.
This presence is responsible for organizing the parish ministry. Each sister gives the best of her personal charisma and talent. The dynamism of the parishioners of the parish has made possible the construction of the temple. It is a living community, in which many of them have been infected with the charism and have formed the FENI group. As pastoral actions we have sacramental attention, pastoral listening, missionary childhood, JUMINI, FENI, and spiritual accompaniment.
The educational ministry is exercised in secondary education by teaching Religion classes and in the Jaén Productive Technical Center with young people and adults.
The Nazaria Ignacia Residence is the mission in which the social ministry is carried out, specifically, the promotion of professional women with an impact on the native and mixed-race population. The residence has contributed in these years to the dignity of native women, especially those of Awajun and Wampis culture, collaborating in lodging and accompaniment, while they study different careers; Many of them currently work in their communities of origin. It is the only residence at the Vicariate level strategically located near the higher education centers.
It is a reason for thanksgiving for so much missionary dedication and so much faith shared with joy and generosity.
